Since your not wanting a gun that may or may not be affected by the may or may not gun ban, I would say buy more ammo. It seems to be getting hard to come buy in a lot of places, not so much where I live though.
to be honest man, i would stock up on ammo while you can, obama's gonna start raping us on ammo prices very soon, and i heard he might be going a bit further than that, so by all means, stock up brotha.
Yes, you need more. The Obamites will try to outflank a gun ban and go after the ammo. A new gun ain't worth squat if you don't have anything to put in the chamber.
Beware the man who only has one gun, because he is probably an expert on that one gun.
Stock up on ammo. I fear .223 is going to be banned very soon. I contemplated getting an EBR a year ago, but I got a tactical shotgun instead. I decided that shotgun ammo is probably the last thing they'll ban because of their supposed affinity for "sportsmen," so I shouldn't have any problems finding ammo for it. It ain't as sexy as an EBR, but ammo won't be a problem, either.
Put the money you would have spent on a new gun into .223 ammo, then pray to God that my hunch is wrong!

Abong'o said some people had begun to make a habit of carrying offensive weapons - such as machetes and axes - in public places. "This is against the law, and anyone found going armed in public will be prosecuted," the Daily Nation reported. The police have said that rungus (clubs), simis (Somali swords) and spears traditionally carried by Maasai morans (warriors) are offensive weapons under the law.
