Another thing you could think about is a sling. Just a simple, but rugged, $15 Wilderness Tactical or equiv.
Something I am doing is buying a small shoulder bag to hold extra shells, charged $20 pay-as-you-go cell fone from Walmart (can still dial 911 without paying for any minutes), flashlight, maybe a H bandage and Celox. Keep this bag hanging right next to the shotgun.
Really the only must haves are training and a bandoleer full of spare 00 buck. A light is a nice plus but I don't like sweeping a room with the barrel of a weapon to see if that noise was a zombie or a clumsy girlfriend. Instead I'd invest in a good quality flashlight. The way a shotgun is used in normal (not SHTF zombie attacks) is to hunker down in the bedroom with the kids, or failing that cover the bedroom hallway, and wait for the police. A small hand held flashlight can be set halfway to the door to light it up without giving away your position. Let the police clear the house! When you're all by yourself shotguns are lousy at that job.
The other desirable add-on would be some kind of a top quality recoil pad.
On mine I have a single point sling, light, folding stock and side saddle. In my opinion the only necessary add-on is the sling. The shotgun is the dominant weapon, you should never drop or put it down, hence the sling. You always have control.
I installed a Leapers tri-rail barrel mount. Then you can install any light that installs to Picatinny/Weaver rails. I replaced the brace between the barrel & magazine with this mount & hung a light with remote pressure switch from the bottom rail. Or you can hang the mount from the mag & use the bottom "ring" to clamp around a light.
I don't care who you are that there pic is hilarious!
I do feel a little sorry for that shotgun, it's lost all of it's dignity.
The BUG on the butt stock is a great idea, but it has to go or I'll break the bank.
