My nightstand has my 9c that I carry and practice the most with, high lumen flashlight, remote control for turning on lights around the house and my cell phone. Boring, but I sleep good.

Shield .40 is always within reach whether on my person or arms length when I sleep. Not the greatest home defense weapon but anything that fires is better than nothing.

M&P 40 FS with a Streamlight TLR4 light laser combo.

I like a lot of what Chris Costa has to say so I'm seriously thinking about adding a suppressor.
