12yo loves her new M&P M2.0

Daughter turned 12 this week, got her an official IDPA membership and a M&P M2.0 full size to replace her old MP9c.

She loves it - spent several hours dryfire drilling to adjust to trigger, and has named it JOSH? ugh... I'm too old to deal with another TWEEN girl.

I hope she's more intelligent than her father, but doesn't look like it. Let's not only point it (politically correct)( in the sisters general direction(not pointing it directly at her/ possible ricochet, does it really matter) at my sister, let's have a friendly tug o war with it also. Pure fodder for the anti's. I'll just say this, if that would have been my daughter standing there, I would have been @^*$&(

There was a tug of war, but at no time was that pistol pointed towards her sister. The little sister was much shorter and at no time was that pistol pointed down.

I do agree that you probably shouldn't have a tug of war over a pistol.

Time and place my friends. Strict rules exist. I understand and welcome the feedback and will be more careful in the future of portraying things.

no ammo is ever present in the same room as dryfire drills, which she had been doing for a couple hours next to me.

Was an exciting afternoon, and maybe my holding the gun while she hugged it appears like a tug of war, but there was no danger. Although I understand the views and understand the concern.

No worries. Adjustments to future projects are easily made.

I will have to disagree John...
its UNSAFE practice... the pistol was STILL in an UNSAFE direction as well as mishandling of a firearm... loaded or not.

I understand the criticisms but when I watched it I assumed it was staged. Who carries a video camera around filming everything they do? And that's what it would take to get that clip if it hadn't been staged. Thinking that, I further assumed that the gun had been checked for safety.

I thought it was cute, but also cringed a bit because the tug of war seemed real. The actors did a good job.

Its surely not a video i would have posted, cute or not.
Dead people also "assumed" the gun wasn`t loaded either.

Some people should just NOT have guns.
Sorry guys, i just cringe at the thought of people NOT putting safety first.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
