Portland is a very progressive city and people propose some pretty radical ideas which is one of the things that make this such a great town. But it can be a double edge sword. Since we don't pay sales tax here (but we have state income tax and very high property tax) people attempt new taxes on things all of the time, hash is out, and it usually fails to go anywhere which is probably what this will do too. Portland loves it's micro's and although this is basically a .20 cent tax per pint, it wouldn't be good for all of the small businesses here. I too hope this one will go down in flames or at least be a little more reasonable. Oh well, off to shoot an IPSC match. Wish me luck! | |

I'm from Washington but frequent Oregon which makes me a Oregonian sometimes? Plus my Uncles family used to own the Oregonian newspaper. That practically makes me more famous than the Roloff's in that show "little people, big world". HAHA P.S. Lincoln City/Newport/Florence are probably some of the best kept secret cities of the world! Gotta love some Mo's Clam Chowder! You all know what I'm talkin' about!
