I just placed my order for a M&P 340 from Bud's... My speedloaders, and speedstrips are also on order but I need some suggestions for IWB holsters. I think I'll pick up a SuperFly for pocket carry if I can ever find pants that will fit the J-Frame but I need a IWB holster that is comfortable. I was thinking about a CTAC but there has to be something that is a little more slimline out there. If you can provide links that would be great.

Thanks, Jason

I use a Nemesis (I think that is what it is called, from Desanties (sp?)) for pocket carry with my 360 and like it a lot. It does take practice to learn how to make an efficient/effective draw with a pocket holster. I have a Com-tac Undercover Pro for IWB, but I do not like it.

I'm curious to see what others use.

Do you have any photos of this with a J-Frame in it? How comfortable is it?

I have 2 IWB for my 340M&P. One is a Blade-tech UCH which is pretty darned uncomfortable b/c of the hard kydex. I put moleskin on it and it's a little better but combine that with the difficulty of removal compared to the Backwoods that I'm about to describe and I don't use it anymore. The other is a Backwoods leather IWB with a clip that I purchased from a maker that comes to the local gunshows. The clip he uses has a backwards facing lip that grabs your belt/wasteband really well but it makes the holster easy to remove by bending the clip out. Against the skin, this sucker is so much more comfortable than the Blade-tech.

The maker doesn't have a website but I found his info on the keltec boards:

Backwoods Leather

Portsmouth, VA 23703

It's going to depend on your build of course. Mine is "fluffy" and the Quick Cover pulls the grip in tight. I find it very comfortable but haven't used it a lot yet.

Edit: I should note that low ride holsters like this design conceal better for me and my fluffy build. If you have a thinner build and time and money then it's hard to beat a Milt Sparks VM2. I have one for my Kahr and they are comfortable. You might also want to look at a Nick Mathews' stuff if you like leather. I have one of his #2 holsters for my little 1911 and it works very well for that.

I have carried a M60 J-frame in a Bianchi Pistol Pocket (3S) for several years. It is the only IWB J-frame holster that I have used and I do like it.

I carry my J-frame in a FIST holster. It is kydex with a metal clip. Easy to take on and off and VERY thin and light. Here's my holster

They make it in leather also if you think the kydex would be uncomfortable. Good luck!

Hi, Jason. I recently ordered from the following link, www.remoraholsters.com.

After reading their pages and watching the videos, I decided to give it a try.

Mine was for S&W MP .40 C. (item #1MDA6). Finally had opportunity to wear

it around the house for couple hours. Next day I stuck it in my waist with a hoodie

for outer wear, and went to the groc. store....very comfortable (no slipping or riding up).

I was wearing it at about the 3:30 position on my right side.

I am not a big person, only 5' 6" and about 168 lbs. and my first thought was that it wouldn't

work for me.......was I surprised.

The owner, Alan, answered my phone call and was very helpful with information.

My order was handled very promptly.

As a side note, I also have a CZ P07 Duty .40 SW and it fits the holster perfectly also.

Hope this has been of help to you, and maybe others.

I have a Bianchi S-1 that works pretty well. I generally pocket carry my j frames though. I can highly recommend Robert Mika's pocket holsters.
