Thumbs up

Looking at a used Taurus 66SS6, .357, 7 shot, 6in bbl, DA SA.

Anyone have any experience with this gun or similar ones? Thoughts or opinions on Taurus revolvers?

I have shot one my buddy has and it seems like a decent gun. I am thinking about offering $300 if it's in good shape.

You might also want to ask here: http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/index.ph...47fef07d95c;www

And look on Gunbroker for pricing. Type "Taurus 66" in the search box.

For about $100 more you might be able to find a nice S&W.

I recently purchased a Taurus 65SS4, which is the fixed sight 6-shot version with 4" barrel. It's a big handful of revolver, no lightweight, for sure.

I had a 66B4" 7 shot for years. It was a good gun. Eventually I got the money for the S&W 686 so I sold the Taurus.

I run a #65 because I wanted no snag sights for chest rig and back pack, it is the 4" blued model... Its a damn fine shooter and have had zero problems. (Taurus pistols are another topic with greater possibility of colorful discussion). I take the 357 to the field every time, its an excellent woods gun.

Heavy? Sure, but its still lighter than my Smith 686.

Anyone that may whine about its weight, was confused at purchase.

I don't own a Taurus wheelgun gun, but I do have a PT92 that dates back somewhere in the early 80's. It's a heavy gun, but an excellent shooter, very accurate!
