Replacement ejector pin M&P 40

Unfortunately, my first question here is newbie. I messed up my original extractor pin (pin that holds the extractor in place, through the top of the slide). I've read that the standard roll pin will work just fine as a replacement. However, I wanted to confirm the part since I'm quite new (to all aspects of firearms). Although I'm sure there are many vendors, this is the Brownells' Locking Block Coil Pin that I've seen suggested. Any confirmations or suggestions are welcome.

Locking Block Coil Pin is too long and too large for this application. The correct pin is 1/2" long and 1/12" (0.083") in diameter, S&W part #39413, and once removed it should always be replaced with a new one (so get a few).

I appreciate the replies, danke. Will definitely pick a few up. Beast, thanks for the offer but I figure I'll grab a few of the coil pins as well while I'm at it. Now to set aside my flub and enjoy new sights, trigger kit, and new found knowledge.

Thanks again. MP-P seems to have a pretty solid community. Looking forward to being able to contribute.
